Reiki for Addiction and Recovery: Gentle Support, Without Judgment
Addiction doesn’t follow a straight line. It weaves, it circles, it repeats. Sometimes you feel like you’re making progress, and other times it feels like you’re starting all over again. What I want you to know is this: I see you. I meet you exactly where you are—not where you think you should be, or where others expect you to be. At Divinely Designed, I offer Reiki as a loving, judgment-free space to support your healing, no matter what stage of recovery you’re in.
Addiction—whether to substances, behaviors, or patterns—often has deep roots. It can stem from pain, trauma, overwhelm, or even inherited emotional wounds. And while the world may only see the surface—the consequences, the labels—I understand that what lies underneath is often a soul in pain, trying to survive. I know this not just professionally, but personally. I lost my beloved niece to addiction at just 29 years old. Her life and her struggle are part of what inspired me to become a Level II certified Reiki practitioner. I made a vow: to offer what I wish she could have had—gentle, consistent support from someone who doesn’t try to fix, shame, or force, but simply holds space.
When you are empowered, recovery is possible
Reiki can be a powerful ally in addiction and recovery because it honors the energetic body. Long before we act out in self-destructive ways, our energy fields are already calling out for attention. Reiki helps you begin to feel again, to breathe again, and to trust your body after feeling disconnected from it. It soothes the nervous system, helps release emotional blocks, and creates space for clarity. During a Reiki session at Divinely Designed, you’re invited to rest—fully, safely, and without having to explain yourself.
Clients who are in active recovery often say Reiki helps them stay grounded, reduce cravings, or ease anxiety without needing to talk through every detail. Those in early stages of relapse prevention or still cycling through addiction find that Reiki gives them one hour of peace in the storm—a moment to just be. There’s no need to “get it right.” There’s only energy, moving or blocked, and the healing possibility of presence.
Reiki is an excellent tool for stress reduction and clarity. We specialize in assisting clients who are dealing with PTSD, addiction/recovery and generalized anxiety. Available live or remotely.
Healing is not about perfection. It’s about returning to yourself. Over and over again, with softness.
If you’re struggling with addiction, or supporting someone who is, I want you to know you are not alone. There is help, and there is hope—and Reiki may be one piece of your healing puzzle. At Divinely Designed, you’ll never be met with shame. Only with understanding, compassion, and the quiet power of energy that wants to help you come home to yourself.
You are not broken. You are becoming. And Reiki is here to walk with you on that journey—one breath, one session, one gentle shift at a time.
