Living Geometry: Your Body, Your Chart, Your Energy Field

We've come a long way since the first post in this series, when I asked you to look at your hand.

Do you remember that? The spiral at the tip of each fingerprint. The branching lines of the palm. The way your fingers taper according to proportions that echo through the natural world at every scale. We used it as an entry point — a quick glance at the fact that sacred geometry isn't something that exists out there, in temples and textbooks and ancient carvings. It exists in you.

This final post is about that. Not the geometry of the cosmos, or the geometry of the divine, or the geometry of matter — though we've touched all of those. This one is about the geometry of the specific, unrepeatable human being reading these words right now.

Because here's what five posts of sacred geometry have been quietly building toward: you are not a person who can study these patterns from the outside. You are made of them. You are an expression of them. And once you really take that in, the way you understand yourself — your body, your energy, your birth chart, your life — shifts in ways that are difficult to fully articulate but very easy to feel.

The Body As Temple

The phrase "your body is a temple" gets used so often it has almost lost its meaning. But take it literally for a moment — not as a metaphor for treating yourself well, but as an architectural statement.

Ancient temples were not built according to arbitrary proportions. The great sacred structures of Egypt, Greece, India, and medieval Europe were built according to the golden ratio, the Vesica Piscis, the proportions of the Platonic Solids — the same forms we've been exploring throughout this series. The builders were trying to create spaces that resonated with the human body and with the cosmos simultaneously. Spaces that felt, when you entered them, like something in you recognized them.

The reason those spaces feel that way is that they were built to match you.

Leonardo da Vinci's Vitruvian Man — the famous drawing of a human figure inscribed in both a circle and a square — was not a philosophical statement about human potential. It was a geometric observation: that the proportions of the human body map precisely onto the two most fundamental geometric forms, the circle (representing the divine, the infinite, the cosmic) and the square (representing the earthly, the structured, the material).

Your arm span equals your height. The distance from your elbow to your wrist, from your wrist to your fingertip, and from your fingertip to the second knuckle of your index finger approximate the golden ratio. The navel divides the body according to phi. The face — the distance between the eyes, the proportion of forehead to nose to chin — follows the same mathematical relationship that governs the spiral of a galaxy.

You were not built to fit into a sacred space. You are the sacred space. The temple was always just a reminder.

The Chakras And The Fibonacci Sequence

If you work with the chakra system — whether through Reiki, yoga, meditation, or simply as a framework for understanding energy — you already work with sacred geometry, whether you've thought of it that way or not.

The seven main chakras are not randomly placed along the spine. Their positions correspond, with striking precision, to the Fibonacci sequence — the mathematical series (1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13...) in which each number is the sum of the two before it, and which, as it extends, approximates the golden ratio more and more closely.

Measure the distance from the base of the spine to the crown of the head. Then locate where each chakra falls as a proportion of that total distance. The intervals between them follow Fibonacci proportions — not exactly, because bodies vary, but consistently enough that the pattern is unmistakable.

The chakra system, in other words, is a Fibonacci spiral running through the human body. The same spiral that organizes the seed head of a sunflower, the chambers of a nautilus, the arms of the Milky Way — that spiral runs through you, from root to crown, organizing your energy body according to the same mathematical principle that organizes living systems everywhere in nature.

This is not a coincidence. This is the universe using the same language at every scale, including yours.

Your Birth Chart Is A Sacred Circle

For those of you who work with astrology, I want to spend a moment on something that is hiding in plain sight.

The birth chart — the wheel you've looked at dozens or hundreds of times — is a sacred geometric form. Not metaphorically. Literally.

It is a circle divided into 360 degrees. That division is not arbitrary: 360 is divisible by every number from 1 through 10 except 7, which means a circle of 360 degrees can accommodate virtually every geometric proportion in existence. Triangles, squares, hexagons, pentagons — all of them fit cleanly into 360 degrees. The circle was chosen as the basis of the astrological chart precisely because of this geometric completeness.

The aspects — the angular relationships between planets that astrologers interpret as harmonious or challenging — are nothing more than sacred geometry in action. When two planets are 120 degrees apart, they form a trine: one third of the circle, the angle of the equilateral triangle. When they're 90 degrees apart, they form a square: one quarter of the circle, the angle of the geometric square. A sextile at 60 degrees is one sixth of the circle — the angle of the Star of David, the same proportion found in the Flower of Life.

The conjunction, opposition, trine, square, sextile — these aren't just astrological concepts. They're the geometric relationships between points on a sacred circle, and they carry the same symbolic weight they do in every other tradition that has worked with these forms.

When you look at your birth chart, you are looking at a map of sacred geometric relationships — between the planets, between you and the cosmos, between the life you were born into and the patterns that have always organized reality.

Every chart is unique. But every chart is drawn in the same geometric language. The cosmos was introduced to you in a circle, on the day you arrived.

The Merkaba: Your Personal Light Body

There is one more geometric form worth naming in this final post, because it belongs specifically to the human energy field in a way that the other forms we've discussed do not.

The Merkaba — a Hebrew word combining mer (light), ka (spirit), and ba (body) — is a three-dimensional star made of two interlocking tetrahedra, one pointing upward and one pointing downward. If you're familiar with the Star of David, you've seen its two-dimensional version: two triangles, one pointing up, one pointing down, overlapping at the center.

In three dimensions, this becomes a star tetrahedron — two pyramids interlocked through each other, spinning in opposite directions, creating a unified field that extends around the body in all directions.

This is the geometric form associated with the activated human light body — the field that, according to various esoteric traditions, represents the full integration of physical, energetic, and spiritual dimensions of the self. It is the geometry of wholeness. The shape you are growing toward.

The word Merkaba also appears in the Hebrew Bible as the divine chariot — the vehicle of ascent, the form in which the prophets were transported into higher states of consciousness. Whether you read that literally or as metaphor, the underlying idea is consistent: this geometric form represents the capacity to move between dimensions of experience. To be fully here and fully connected to something larger than here, simultaneously.

That capacity is not reserved for prophets. It's the birthright of anyone willing to work with it.

Putting It All Together

Let me draw the thread all the way through, from where we started to where we are now.

The universe organizes itself according to a set of recurring geometric patterns. These patterns appear at every scale of reality — from the structure of atoms to the structure of galaxies — because they are, in the most fundamental sense, the language reality is written in.

The Vesica Piscis is what happens when two fields meet — the creative space between any two things in genuine relationship. The Flower of Life is the pattern of creation itself, endlessly generating new form from the same simple act. Metatron's Cube contains the five building blocks of physical matter and the complete map of the human energy field. The Sri Yantra is a diagram of consciousness, a map you can enter rather than just observe. The golden spiral is the signature of living growth, the proportion of life adding to itself.

And your body — your energy field, your birth chart, your fingerprints, the spiral of your inner ear, the Fibonacci intervals between your chakras, the sacred circle of the chart drawn for the moment you took your first breath — contains all of it.

You are not separate from sacred geometry. You are an instance of it. A specific, unrepeatable, infinitely complex expression of the same patterns that have organized reality since before there was anything to organize.

One Last Practice

To close this series, I want to offer something simple. Not a visualization, not a journaling prompt, not a meditation technique. Just a question.

Sit quietly for a moment, and ask yourself: what is the pattern of my life right now?

Not the story. Not the narrative of what happened and why and whose fault it was. The pattern. The shape of it. Is it expanding outward like a spiral, adding new territory while remaining coherent? Is it contracting, drawing inward toward a center point that hasn't quite come into focus yet? Is it in a period of intersection — like the Vesica Piscis — where two different parts of your life are overlapping and creating something new in the space between them?

Geometry gives us a vocabulary for experiences that are real but difficult to name. And sometimes, naming the shape of what you're living through is the first step toward understanding what it's asking of you.

You have always been made of the universe's most fundamental language. This series has just been an introduction to reading it.

Thank You For Walking This Series With Me

Sacred geometry is one of those subjects that rewards slow attention. If any of these six posts opened a door for you — into a new way of seeing your body, your practice, your birth chart, or simply the world outside your window — I'd love to hear about it. Leave a comment below or find me on Facebook or Instagram.

And if you're feeling called to go deeper — whether through a personal astrology reading, a Reiki session, or a tarot reading that helps you locate yourself within the patterns you're currently living — you can find all the ways to work with me at [booking link].

The geometry is always there. It just helps, sometimes, to have someone point to it.
